If you look at the UPC mark (those little vertical lines on every thing you buy at a store, the ones they scan through the scanners) you will see three registration marks, one at the beginning, one in the middle, and one at the end of the UPC code. These three marks are the number 6. In other words, all scanners use 6 6 6 as the means of calibration of their scanner laser lights.
