As a Christian, one has to believe this...I cannot speak for other religions. Jesus gave us two commandments...
#1 Love God above all else #2 Love your neighbor as you love yourself
***Eros is sexual love ***Storge is affection (for family members) ***Philia is genuine affection, heart love ***Agape the noblest form of love to do with the mind...not simply emotion <<< this is the kind of love Jesus was talking about. The kind of love that changes lives
The New Testament was written in Koine Greek. The words for love that I posted above come from Koine Greek.....Koine denotes “common,” because this style of Greek was the language of the common man-on-the-street during the time of Christ.
Koine Greek came into vogue about 300 years before the birth of Jesus, and it became an obsolete language about three centuries after the Lord’s death. It was the most precise instrument for the conveyance of human thought that the world has ever known. Some would say that this language was providentially employed by God in giving the world the New Testament revelation of His Son. I find this rather fascinating and thought provoking. Something more to ponder, perhaps..or not.........Dar
Interesting Dar!!!!!!!!!!! Koine Greek! I didn't know that, but can see how it can affect later translation that are so much less precise! English is such an amalgam of languages that it is difficult to clearly retell a story from any other language.
I know that German is considered the perfect language for techinical work.
Well I can see that Dar is a smart lady, i enjoyed your comments, you almost encourage me to find and dust off my Bible :) Without doing that and its been a long time, I will say that I think pure love, the love that Christ taught has been misrepresented by people of all ages for personal acceptance of their own actions and desires, I am not say what is wrong or right I don't remember the teachings that well but I have felt that all that happens in Gods name is mostly some one's way of making an excuse for their own desires and actions. I don't see many of God's "followers" doing what I remember from the Bible. Heck i thought the Bible taught that marriage was of God but the Catholic Church say priest's can't marry! Sorry if my gramma/spelling is off I am just rolling the thoughts out Penny
Tom boy, short little shapely gal, 98 pounds, 5 foot tall, 34C-22-32, love sex, bisexual, tend to be submissive, but also switch with many people, enjoy sexual banter, intelligent, perceptive, gentle, humorous

Enough of this for now....Dar's musings
